Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center
All Women at the Wellsprings sessions will be held at the Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center in Cullman, Alabama, a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery in Cullman. Situated on spacious and beautiful monastic grounds, the Center provides a peaceful, prayerful atmosphere in which to “come away awhile” for spiritual refreshment.
The Retreat Center offers a variety of services and facilities designed to meet the spiritual and educational needs of the People of God, including private retreats, group retreats, luncheon meetings, days of reflection, and more. In over 40 years of retreat ministry, thousands of men and women of many denominations have found spiritual renewal in the Center’s gentle, tranquil environment.
The small but bustling city of Cullman is located just off of Interstate 65 about an hour north of Birmingham, AL, and an hour south of Huntsville, AL.
Accommodations
Accommodations for Women at the Wellsprings participants will be in private rooms with private bath in Mary Guest House and St. Joseph Guest House. Each of these houses contains twelve individual bedrooms. In addition to 12 bedrooms with private bath, each of these two houses features:
1) living room with comfortable, upholstered seating for 12 and folding chairs for additional seating
2) kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee maker, and electric tea kettle
3) spacious porch featuring rocking chairs and a pastoral view
4) storm refuge rooms for use during severe weather
Conference rooms and common areas
St. Scholastica Room and St. Benedict Room will serve as a comfortable and hospitable home for conference sessions. The small Retreat Center chapel offers a lovely space for private prayer. Comfortable sitting areas provide opportunity for informal conversation or quiet reading.
